Faced with an unshaded westerly exposure, the most sensible approach for our client’s
conservatory plan was to incorporate a well-insulated slate lower roof,
and to punctuate it with a bright and cheerful glass roof lantern.
The glass “cupola” contributes the perfect amount of light, enhanced natural ventilation,
and the charm of twinkling leaded art glass. The combination also eliminates the need
for conservatory shades on hot, sunny afternoons.

The hand-painted mural ceiling is among the most extraordinarily beautiful treatments
we have used, and boldly speaks to the owners’ unique personal style.

Tasteful appointments include marble flooring in a traditional black-and-white pattern,
and an eclectic mix or antique furniture, lighting fixtures, and accessories.
